Recently I had a few conversations about "remember Chico and the Pace hat?" and so I have dusted off the blog...
The long and short of it is that I shared a cubicle wall with a man who had this monstrosity of a hat sitting on top of his overhead cabinet. We had recently been reorganized to report to the same manager, and I asked her if I could steal the hat as a joke. With a gleam in her eye, she said yes and became my accomplice. (I barely knew Jack at the time. )
I decided to send him pictures a la Photoshop of where the hat might be. Add in a couple of my son's stuffed animals, and it got out of hand pretty quickly. My friend provided the plotline and a few Eurodisney photos that made the joke last for a good portion of the summer. Even at the end, he had NO idea it had been me, until I handed him the hat back.
To experience the story as Jack did, use the archives in the right and go through the postings in chronological order. Then you will see the messages in the order that Jack received them.
